Cynthiana, Kentucky, the county seat of Harrison County, is comprised of various historic Victorian and Federal-style buildings. Situated along the banks of the South Fork of the Licking River in the 'Golden Triangle', Cynthiana is 28 miles northeast of Lexington, 90 miles from Louisville, and 60 miles south of Cincinnati.
 
Downtown Cynthiana's recent surge of energy and entrepreneurial spirit is just as inspiring as its history. Within recent months the town has seen the opening of new shops and restaurants, upgrades to the historic Rohs Opera House, and numerous renovation projects.
